Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying Top-Up Degree is designed for students who already hold a relevant Level 5 qualification, such as an HND, Advanced Diploma or equivalent, and want to progress to an honours degree.

Students will strengthen their ability to evaluate project costs, manage commercial performance, understand construction contracts, administer contractual procedures, consider sustainable construction practices and undertake independent research.

The programme is particularly suitable for learners seeking to develop from technical Quantity Surveying knowledge into broader professional, contractual and commercial responsibilities.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should normally hold:

• A relevant Higher National Diploma (HND), Advanced Diploma or equivalent Level 5 qualification in Quantity Surveying or a closely related discipline.
• Appropriate English-language competence for degree-level study.
• Other relevant qualifications may be considered subject to academic evaluation.

The current programme requirement is a Level 5 qualification such as an HND in a closely related discipline, together with a C pass in English at GCE O/L.
